Criteria for Admission
are as follows:
Please be aware that the
criteria established for Admissions to all Assisted Living and/or Personal
Care Homes are established by the Office of Regulatory Services for the
State of Georgia.

The Lake House at Legion Lake maintains compliance with all rules and
regulations of the Office of Regulatory Services in all areas pertaining to
Assisted Living/Personal Care Home policy and procedures.

Resident must be at least 18 years of
age.

Residents must be ambulatory -
An ambulatory resident is one who can:
-
a) Move from place to place
independently or with the aid of a prosthesis, brace, cane,
crutches, walker, or hand rails, or by propelling a wheelchair and
-
b) Respond to an emergency
condition and escape with minimal human assistance, such as cueing,
verbal encouragement or minimal physical assistance.

Residents must not require the use of
physical or chemical restraints, isolation, or confinement for behavior
control.

Residents must not be confined to bed
and must not require continuous medical or nursing care and/or
treatment.

Residents must not require care beyond
which the facility is permitted to provide.
Applicants requiring continuous medical or nursing services cannot be
admitted or retained. Medical, nursing, health, or supportive services
required on a periodic basis or for short-term illnesses cannot be
provided as services of the home. When such services are required, the
resident must purchase them from licensed providers of such services
(i.e. home health agencies, etc.).
